Roy Keane is one of Manchester United's all time legends. Fiercely passionate and determined to win, Keane became a hero not only to the Manchester United fans, but also the Republic of Ireland fans when he brought his on brand of dedication to his national team. Keane ended his playing career at Glasgow Celtic, but lost none of the fire and aggression that made him the leader and player that he is.

Today Roy Keane is one of the nations favorite pundits and he bring the same passion and fearless honesty in his work on both Sky Sports and ITV, making him must see TV.

Keane's straight forward approach to offering his opinion is backed up by the fact he has delivered at the very top of the world of football with Manchester United and Celtic, and its a level of raw, honest intensity that you can expect seeing Roy live on stage.


Born Cork, Keane played at International level with the Republic of Ireland for 14 years, playing 67 games and scoring 9 goals. Keane even captained his country on numerous occasions.

Keane is the joint most successful ever Irish footballer with 19 trophies to his name (a record he shares with Denis Irwin)

Nottingham 17th July

After leaving his first club, Cobh Ramblers, Keane joined Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough in 1990. Appearing in the 1991 FA Cup final and the League Cup Final. In 1993 Keane was set to leave Forest and go to Blackburn Rovers for £4 million. However due to lengthy negotiations and the Blackburn office being closed for the weekend - Keane was back in Cork for the weekend when Alex Ferguson called him and signed him for Manchester United for a British transfer record of £3.75 million and history was made.

Keane never forgot his time at Forest and returned in 2019 as the assistant manager under Martin O'Neill - and whilst it was short lived, it proves that Roy still has a lot of love for Nottingham
