Born and Bred on Merseyside, Johnson initially played for Everton before, finally, signing for their local rivals after a spell at Bobby Robsons Ipswich Town.
Johnson was a natural born striker and raised his game to compete with the stars of the era including Kevin Keegan, John Toshack and Ian Rush.
He remains one of only 2 players in history to score for both Everton and Liverpool in the Merseyside derby! (the other being Peter Beardsley)
In his time at Liverpool, David Johnson won 4 League Titles (77,79,80 and 82) 2 League Cups (81, 82) 3 European Cups (77, 78, 81) and the UEFA Supercup (77)
