A Sell-Out Evening at ALEA with a True Boxing Great

Nottingham was buzzing on Wednesday night as fans packed into the ALEA Casino to welcome home one of Britain’s greatest ever fighters — Carl “The Cobra” Froch.

And from the very moment he arrived, it was clear this was going to be a night to remember.

A Champion Outside the Ring

Froch may have retired from boxing, but his world-class commitment and connection to fans hasn’t faded one bit.

He delivered far more than anyone expected:

  • Signed every autograph handed his way ✍️

  • Posed for endless photos — including selfies, fan groups and repeat requests 📸

  • Chatted with guests

like old friends rather than ticket holders 🤝

Just like in the ring, Froch left nothing on the table.

Stories, Laughter & 80,000 Fans… Again!

The highlight of the evening was the Q&A — and Carl delivered a perfect blend of insight, honesty, and humour.

He shared stories:

  • New tales from the glory years

  • Behind-the-scenes training secrets

  • Career-defining moments

  • And yes… the legendary 80,000 at Wembley moment! 😂

From the Groves knockout to chopping trees in camp, everyone left knowing something they hadn’t before.

A Host With a Touch of Class

A huge credit must also go to Sky Sports’ Pete Graves.

Bright, warm and razor sharp, Pete guided the evening perfectly — helping reveal Froch’s personality while keeping the room engaged throughout.

It was a partnership that worked beautifully.

A Team Effort

Events like this don’t happen on their own.

So applause belongs to:

  • The organisers and planners behind the scenes

  • The team running the room, production and hospitality

  • And most importantly — the fans who filled every seat

To turn out midweek and bring that kind of atmosphere shows the love the city still has for Froch — and he felt it.

Until Next Time, Nottingham

As the final selfies were taken and fans headed home, there was one message on everyone’s faces —

This was a night worth remembering.
