For one of our exclusive signing sessions we reunited 13 of the players from that historic era for Forest and held a very private and exclusive signing session where the players signed the iconic red Nottingham Forest shirts from the 1979 Final and some A1 sized montage posters (which are the largest pictures we have ever done!)

2020 is the 40th anniversary of the second European Cup win, and the veterans of Forest gathered in a secret location in the heart of Nottingham City for a signing session that turned into a reunion, as the players who hadn't seen each other in over a year, rolled back the years and laughed and joked about their playing days

This memorabilia is highly limited and isn't available yet - as plans are in place for more legends of 79 / 80 to add their signature to the shirts and posters

Robbo was secured his place in Forest history by crossing the ball to Trevor Francis for the winning goal in the 1979 European Cup Final against Malmo FF

2. Viv Anderson

3. Archie Gemmill

Gemmill was a key part of getting Nottingham Forest to the Final in 1979 even though he wasn't actually picked for the final - and had left Forest to join Birmingham City in time for the 1980 Cup Run. Archie Gemmill is a key part of the success of Brian Clough's era at Nottingham Forest.

Scotland fans will always remember the Archie Gemmill goal 1978 where he scored against the Netherlands in one of the best World Cup Goals ever

4. Frank Clark

Nottingham Forest Frank Clark

Clark signed for Forest from Newcastle in 1975 and is a great example of Brian Clough's keen eye for a player - as many considered Clark to be past it at 31.

Clark went on to win the European Cup in 1979 in what turned out to be his last professional game as a player.

Clark returned as manager of Forest between 1993 and 1996 and then later as chairman in 2011. A true legend at Forest and we are delighted to add him to the signing session

5. Bryn Gunn

Nottingham Forest Bryn Gunn

Gunn played 6 minutes in the 1980 final which earned him a European Cup medal and place in Nottingham Forest History. These 6 minutes promoted Peter Taylor to say to Cloughie 'We're in the s**t now!'

6. Larry Lloyd

Nottingham Forest Larry Lloyd

Larry Lloyd is one of the all time greats - winning of the League and UEFA cup with Liverpool in 1973 before signing for Forest in 1976 and going on to be part of both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup winning teams. Beloved in Nottingham not only from his playing days but his post playing career as a pundit on Nottinghamshire radio covering Forest games and allowing his larger than life personality to shine

7. Kenny Burns

Nottingham Forest Kenny Burns

Forest player of the year 1977/78 and 1980/81 Kenny Burns was an old school, tough defender famous for his aggressive playing style. Winner of the European Cup in both 1979 and 1980 and even stepped in as captain for the 1979 League Cup Final (which forest won)

8. Gary Mills

Nottingham Forest Gary Mills

Winner of the European cup in 1980 when he was just 18 years old. Mills had two spells at Forest 78-82 and then 83-87. Still active in Football Gary Mills credits his education in Football management from learning under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor during his time at Forest and has won multiple leagues and trophies, as well as individual awards in his managerial career. Mills is currently the manager of Corby Town

10. Frank Gray

Nottingham Forest Frank Gray

Another of Brian Clough's Scottish players - Frank Gray joined Forest from Leeds in 1979 and instantly became a Forest Legend, helping the team win the 1980 European Cup. Frank Gray became the first player to play in the European Cup final for two different English clubs having been part if the Leeds team that lost to Bayern Munich in 1975

12. David Needham

Nottingham Forest David Needham

David Needham was with Nottingham Forest between 1977 and 1982. Whilst Needham was on the bench for both European Cup Finals, he was a valuable part of the team and squad during the glory days of Nottingham Forest

13. Garry Birtles

Nottingham Forest Garry Birtles

Garry Birtles loved Nottingham Forest so much he had to spells there, from 1976 to 1980 then from 1982 to 1986 (lets not mention the year he spent at Notts County)

Winner of both 1979 and 1980 European Cups and the Nottingham Forest Player of the year 1979. A fantastic Goal Scorer
